Eyal Levi and Emil Werstler will unleash their new collaboration, Levi/Werstler Avalanche of Worms on Magna Carta Records April 20th 2010. Levi and Werstler are best known for their work as the guitarists in the Atlanta-based metal band Daath.

Avalanche of Worms is available for preorder from both Magna Carta Records and Third Degree Merch. During the weeks leading up to the release of Avalanche of Worms Levi Werstler will release a series of videos that will be viewable on their various websites and the Magna Carta website as well. Clips from the entire album will also be showcased in the coming weeks.

Vocalist Lief Sorbye’s evocative, slightly accented (he’s from Norway) delivery recalls perfectly all the mixed emotions and complexities of the original while capturing the uncertainty and joys of our modern and turbulent world.

Tempest - "Beaumont Rag"

This Traditional Texas Swing tune was named after the town of Beaumont, Texas. “Beaumont Rag” was first recorded by Cleburne, Texas, fiddler Samuel Morgan Peacock in 1929, under the name Smith’s Garage Fiddle Band. The tune was popularized by Texas swing fiddler Bob Wills, as well as Doc Watson, who introduced the tune to flatpickers repertoire.
